[Bucky isn't sure what's up, but when he gets the message from Steve to meet him at his cabin, he doesn't really ask - just gets his ass onto a shuttle and heads for the Bishop.
He isn't sure whether he's beaten Steve here or not, but there's only one way to find out, so he knocks as he finds the right cabin, calling,] Steve? It's me.
[Steve has the door open after barely one knock and yanks Bucky in by the shirt. It's a good thing they're in a relationship now because Steve goes right for a kiss, desperate for it in a way he hasn't been before.
He attacks Bucky's mouth as though they'll never have another chance. As though he can't bear to pull away and take the risk of him leaving.]
Stay tonight? [He begs between kisses] Please just stay here tonight?
[It's definitely still new, being greeted with a kiss - but it doesn't take long for Bucky to respond in kind, even if his kiss maybe feels a little more confused and a little less desperate.
Still - he picks up on Steve's desperation fast, and he does what he can to be solid and reassuring, one hand settling on Steve's hip as the other reaches behind him to shut the door.]
Yeah, [he says, when he's got the chance to say it.] Of course, sure - Steve, what happened?
[Bucky blows out a breath. Oh. Things just keep getting more complicated; part of him wonders, not for the first time, if the Atroma are doing this for the drama.
But regardless of the reason, it's happening, and - ] Steve. I'm sorry.
[His fingers curl in the fabric of Steve's shirt, at his waist.] I'm sorry. It's shitty, and you shouldn't have to go through it once, let alone more.
Nat. I'm so happy for both of you. Can't say I didn't see this coming.
[He hasn't told Bucky yet--either of them-- so Steve feels like he should keep his mouth shut. But he also wants desperately to have someone else weigh in on this.]

Do you call hot dogs sandwiches in English?

I talked to...Winter. Yelled, more like.
[His arms go around Bucky's waist, holding him.]
It's like losing him all over, hearing him talk about how he's a different person. How little of my old friend is there...

Meet me for coffee when we're free.
Should I expect you to have a black eye?
no subject
I'm free. Where do you wanna meet?
No black eye. We know how to hurt each other better than with punches.

Was thinking the cafe. Maybe better than one of the bars.</font"

But if you're gonna just tell me I'm an idiot, we can do that over the communicator.
