Really. How are you two doing? Buc- Winter gushed about you. It's sweet.

I have a hard time picturing him gushing about anything.

[But she smiles a little at the description, small and crooked.]

He hasn't been back all that long. I think he's going to transfer to Vanquish, though. We never really lived together before. That was a mistake.

[Steve laughs a little.]

I don't blame you. Bucky is moving to the Bishop too. No reason to spend time apart when you get a second chance.

I offered to officiate the wedding.

[He's teasing but only a little ]

Kind of you, but I'm not sure either of us is really the marrying type.

[Mostly amused by the offer.]

Maybe Wanda and Vision then. What can I say? We had one wedding that went pretty well for me. Some more would be even better.

Now that, I'd like to see. Wanda would be cute in a wedding dress.

I'll see if I can convince her. We were talking while she was drugged and it's not like she's not interested.

[He laughs a little.]

Looks like all of us are paired off. Just need to get Loki and Thor a partner.

I am comfortable drawing the line at meddling in Loki's love life.

[Steve sighs hard.]

He's really a good guy, Nat. Bucky hates him too, but I swear. He's a good friend to me.

Aside from you and Buck I probably trust him the most outta anyone here.

Hate is a strong word. I wouldn't say I hate him.

Let's say I have a disinterest in being friends with him.

New York wasn't all him. It's a long story...but that wasn't all him.

And Thor trust him. As do I....

Maybe it wasn't. I'm not asking you not to trust him. Either of you.

[Steve watches her closely, frowning. But he knows when a fight is lost.]

Fine. Alright.

[Does he? Does he really? Honestly, Natasha's a little surprised he gave up.]

But you're not happy about it.

[After fighting with Winter, he's just not interested in arguing with another close friend. Not to mention he still needs to tell Loki about Bucky and that could be complicated as well. Yeah, having Bucky is amazing but he can't just have Bucky.]

No. No, of course not. Loki has been a real friend to me. No one sees him as anything other than a villain but he's grown.

He died for Thor and I just...

I think he deserves a second chance. That's all.

What do you think a second chance looks like in this case, Steve?

[It's an honest question. She's not against second chances. But there's a difference between giving someone a chance to live their life and improve themselves and making friends.]

Talking to him? Getting to know who he really is? Giving him the chance for a fresh start?

I don't need you two braiding hair. Just talk to him?

[Do you really think Natasha hasn't been keeping tabs?]

My impression at this point is that the disinterest is mutual.

[Not that she'd speak for Loki. Who can say what's going on in his head? But he certainly hasn't exuded warmth or a strong impulse to challenge her opinion of him, such as it is.]
