[He strokes fingers through Loki's hair and cradles his jaw.]

Look. You know you don't have to...owe me anything, right? I'll keep flattering you and liking you even if you don't want to...kiss and the rest. Okay?

[ a low chuckle. ]

Steve. When have you ever known me to do something I do not want to?

Yeah, well. I also know you to think the worst of yourself. I don't want you to think I'll walk away.

[He leans in just to brush their lips together.]

I haven't had a relationship in...well. Ever. But if I'm gonna try, I want things clear.

[ his expression flickers. ]

I've never had one.

[Steve grins wider.]

Alright. In the same boat then. That is, if you wanted to try it out?

I . . . would like that, yes.

[Steve's gaze is warm and fond as he leans in to kiss him again. And again.

He can get used to this.]

[ good, because while loki may not have had lasting relationships or real romance, he's still extremely skilled in the way he hums and moans softly into the kiss. ]

[Steve might have no experience but he's a fast learner. Both hands go to Loki's waist as he pushes instead of pulls to get Loki against a wall.

It's his turn to deepen the kiss this time. A moan of his own matches Loki's as he settles into this new sensation.]

[ loki groans, guttural as he hikes his legs up to wrap themselves around steve's waist and curling his arms around his neck to keep his position. ]

[This is new but Steve likes it. He can easily hold Loki up even without the wall so with the additional help this is simple.

He lets out a broken noise as their bodies push flush against one another. His own teeth bite against that lower lip before his tongue soothes against it.

Even without the magic he feels full of embers.]

[ that's fine, that's just how he likes it. full of hunger and need. loki needs to know this, needs to feel it, otherwise he can't trust it. he needs the full brunt of passion and displays it as such with the cool touches that burn through the heat. ]

[Steve's never had the chance to fuel his desires so far. Stolen kisses. That was all he'd had. But now he has a willing body pressed up against him, encouraging more. And it's enough to make his head go light.

Steve's fingertips dig into Loki's hips as his body pushes him firmer against the wall. He pulls away only for short gasps of air and dives back in to these uncharted waters.]

[ remember to breath, steve. it certainly feels like steve is a parched man in a desert, which is why loki softens his kisses, teases with little nips. his hips shift and move against steve, trying to increase the friction. ]

[The friction is what actually breaks Steve out of his fever. He breaks off for a harsh exhale and pauses, then, panting into Loki's shoulder.

God. He is... Christ. Okay.

Steve pulls back but still holds Loki. Still leans back in to kiss him again, this time softer and slower. That's the right direction. At least for now.]

[ huh. odd. loki frowns slightly, but fine, he can slow it down. ]

[Steve can feel the frown and has to lean away to laugh. Mostly at himself.]

You do know I haven't done this, right? Nothing like this. And I don't mean just not with a male.

I can make myself female if you prefer, though I rather not.

[ after all, he is a shapeshifter. he cocks his head. ]

Do you not want to?

No. No, it's not. No.

[He exhales to rest his forehead against Loki's clavicle.]

Just. Slow, okay? I'm fine with this. Just...let's keep below the belt for after I take you on a proper date?

[ a . . . date? loki blinks. ]

. . . But I have no idea what dating entails.

[Gosh. That's...almost sad to him.]

Sounds like I need to do some planning, then. Figure out a good first for you.

It's how we get to know each other better. Share some stories and just be together for a bit.

It's also just fun. Couple-y fun. Buck and I went on dates all the time but...not really good ones. This'll be different.

[ his expression flickers. would he be able to do that? would anyone want to be near him once they get to know him better? it sounds like a disaster. ]

Why would it be different?

Because hopefully you'd actually wanna be there with me. My other dates were all set up. But you?

[Steve kisses Loki's cheek tenderly.]
