"Would you believe he realized you sometimes need a break?"

Steve is smiling though. He definitely hasn't learned that lesson even in the slightest but it's familiar and comforting to do the call and response game again. With all that had happened, Steve's almost forgotten the natural way they fit together. Not like this, clearly, although the fit now is exception as well. No, just how they fell into step. Like the fight with Tony. Like running through the airport and communicating with a look.

Bucky doesn't complete him so much as he is that last, completing piece of the Steve Rogers puzzle. Without it you get most of the picture but it's always lacking. Always less than it could be if only someone gave it what it needed.

As Bucky arches, Steve trails kisses from neck to navel. The awkward position has him pulling out just a bit but there isn't time to grieve that. Not when Steve straightens back up and makes that final thrust. And like magic, Steve is connected with Bucky more intimately than he ever has been before. He pants hard, shocked by what he's done even though he definitely shouldn't be. The feeling is beyond words and Steve just stares at Bucky in awe.

And then, yeah. Okay. Biology screams that he should move and that sounds like a really good idea.

"I'm...I'm inside you," he breathes as he pulls back and inexpertly thrusts back. With the way slick now, it's smooth and hot and easy to get as deep as he wants. Steve's memory provides the place his fingers had hit before and it is different trying to find it with a different appendage, but he's trying. Trying with each slow thrust and small adjustment.

And between that, he bends completely over Bucky to share his air and pepper kisses whenever their faces bump close enough.

"Jesus... I...I get the appeal now," he says with an airy laugh that breaks into a moan. "Oh...God, Buck..."
